This piece was a direct reaction to the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. The fact that multiple women were brave enough to come out and tell their stories was amazing.
What amazes me, even more, is the fact that their stories were not believed and did not affect the eventual outcome of Kavanaugh's appointment to the supreme court.
This hearing only being the tip of the iceberg. There is a long history of women being suppressed and brushed aside by the patriarchy. Not only in our country but the world.
I believe in inclusion and have hope that the future of this country and the world lies in diversity.
