Creating my own Dia De Los Muertos Calavera has been on my list for some time now. However, I held off because, I’ve always felt the traditional style has become quite saturated, not just in the art but also in pop culture. Or super derivative of my brother Ernesto Yerena's Calavera. Which remains my all-time favorite graphic rendition.

What I aimed for was to create a Calavera that's distinct, a departure from the traditional while still capturing that authentic essence.

This has been my most ambitious print to date – it boasts eight colors! Never thought I’d hear that coming from me…
