Balance Of Power Lookbook
The Balance of Power collection explores the themes of strength and power. I have paired women with apex predators to explore the question: Who is really in control? The juxtaposition of female strength against animal force is also my interpretation of the feminist movement in light of the Trump presidency and its never-ending assault on women’s rights. Further tying together the political undertones in the collection is a nod to Rage Against the Machine’s song “Freedom” which inspired the message that your anger truly is a gift. Although the word “anger” has negative connotations due to the potential of destruction, those who channel it in a positive way reap the benefits of such a powerful emotion when used for good.
